Bad timing.

I checked the Rockapella website to see if they were going to be nearby anytime soon.

They played the Morristown community theatre last Friday night.

Next time they're anywhere near here is September, in Potsdam - and that's a loose interpretation of "near".

October in Staten Island isn't bad, and apparently they have a NJ concert that is getting rescheduled, but I don't know where in NJ it actually is.

South Jersey. Likely 2ish hours from me without traffic.

The Potsdam one is a Saturday evening, so it might be reasonable to drive up for the weekend, if a friend (intentionally left anonymous) who lives in that area wanted visitors.

Potsdam, NY? That's my neck of the woods.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

My birthday's in October... maybe I can talk D into pretending my birthday's in September, and we can go. Thanks for the heads up! And if you're bored next September, feel free to come on up to the middle of no where to see some Rockapella. The guest room with its king sized bed will be set-up by then :-)

*grin* Then I'll stop worrying about the anonymity. I thought just maybe you might let me come see you. :-)

Maybe I'll pretend it's your birthday. I'm sure I owe you several holidays' worth of gifts anyway...

*giggles* Northern NY is a HUGE area. Being in my neck of the woods means anywhere in a three hour radius (we are really out there up here!).

I already talked to TP, and we're buying some tickets. While you're here, would you like to go see Ottawa? It's my new favorite city, and we won't need passports to get in and out of Canada until December. I really need to get a new passport.

Well, if I can come, it'll likely be drive up on Saturday, drive back on Sunday. We'll see what happens. Can't 100% promise I can come up at all...

You are crazy! I drove to NYC on Saturday and back on Sunday, and I'll never do it again. From you, it's a 7ish hour drive. Half of that is on small town backroads because the closest highway to us is about three hours away. Those backroads are 55 miles per hour for two minutes then 35 miles per hour for a minute then 40 miles per hour for a minte then back to 55 then back to something else, etc. etc. It's not even nice, easy highway driving. And cops love to stop people who are on the roads because they've got nothing better to do.

However, I shouldn't tell you that's crazy cuz then you won't want to do it....
