Questions from adpaz and my answers:

1. I know you've been trying to come out of your shell lately. What's the greatest thing in your arsenal in that goal?

Determination. I want to change, to broaden my horizons, deepen my experience, make new friends, break old bad habits. And I want it so badly that I will fight as hard as I have to against my fears and insecurity and inertia. I know how. I just have to do. (There is no try.)

2. What's the best thing about your job?

Being able to help people and make their lives better. I love working directly with clients (even the ones that make me crazy) and solving problems, gaining their trust, explaining things... Even working with the ones who are dying, to get their affairs in order and help set their minds at ease.

This is mostly in the wills and estates portion of the practice, which is the part I find most interesting anyway, but I get to do some of it in the other areas as well.

3. If you had the chance to stop time and live a moment for as long as you wish, what moment would you chose? (It can either be a past moment or a future one you're anticipating.)

There was a moment recently – a couple of them – when much to my surprise, events did not go either as I expected or as I feared, but indeed much better than I hoped. I never live in just the moment, but in those moments time and the world were gone. I would love to be able to recapture that feeling.

I decline to be more specific, because I hope that I haven’t reached the end of the story. I don’t know if there’s another chapter, or a sequel. But I’m hoping that, er, the author hasn’t written out my character. (This metaphor is rapidly becoming fail.)

Aside from the partially-told tale, I would really love to be able to go back to a moment spent with my grandmother, any except the last time I saw her. It’s been four years and I still miss her terribly.

4. What would be your ideal weekend away from stress?

I create most of my own stress, so I have a hard time even imagining that.

Things that I know reduce my stress: cats, cuddly babies, fire, ocean, cuddly grownups ;-)

So, I guess a house with a fireplace near the beach, shared with people and/or pets that will snuggle with me. Oh, that does sound good.

5. What book, movie, TV show and bit of music would you recommend that everyone should experience?

Book: The Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling.
Movie: I have two movies on my iPod. One is Clue. The other is The Princess Bride. I believe that everyone should experience both of them. Repeatedly.
TV show: The West Wing.
Music: Healing Hands by Marc Cohn.

I know what it's like to create your own stress. I do the same. I know hugs and kisses from my boys is always a plus. If we lived closer together, I'd offer them up to you for the times you need to destress... but knowing them, that's when they'd be contrary and cranky! :D

And in other comment, I agree whole heartedly on both Clue and The Princess Bride. I think I'm due for a watching now.
