It's very quiet today, unnaturally so. I have received very little email, and there are only a few new posts showing up on my friends list. I'm even receiving less spam than usual. I've been sending out emails to people, and asking questions, so it's not my fault that my inbox is empty. I suppose it is just a quiet rainy day.

Certainly it's a quiet day here, or I wouldn't have had the time to notice. Joe has been at home all morning and is not expected in for at least another hour or so. The phones have been quiet as well. It is a welcome relief after the craziness of the last week or so. I should be taking advantage of it to catch up on all the loose ends of the big projects, but I haven't felt motivated to do much of anything work related.

On the positive side, I have at least been motivated to take a look at some of the things I am supposed to be doing for myself. So, I sent a couple of emails this morning. Several more should go out this afternoon or tomorrow. And at some point I will receive answers to the ones already sent. With my luck, everyone will decide to talk to me just at the point the normal chaos resumes here.

In the meantime, I intend to enjoy the tranquility, even though it's not as needed after the lovely quiet weekend. I will try to motivate myself to do my work anyway, so that I'm not frustrated at six o'clock when I haven't accomplished anything. And I will not post about the ducks just because I know that makes people react.

The duck quacks at midnight. The blue mallard rises in the east.

Well, you stopped playing the daffodil game. I was looking forward to another reply.
