Very ripe nectarines and computers should not mix. In fact, probably just about any nearly overripe fruit should not encounter keyboards and mice.

I had a moment of amazing egotism earlier. I was mulling over bits and pieces of the story that's writing itself in my head. A bit of explanation that was needed to make a rather odd relationship make sense suddenly came to me. And then I thought, "Ah, that probably preempts the most potentially slashy interaction in the whole thing."

First, clearly I'm reading too many journals of people who read and write too much slash.

But second, I should worry about slash? Written, no doubt, by the non-existent fans of an unwritten story that's probably not that good in the first place?

Overripe fruit doesn't really want to be near anything, I would think.

No comment on the slash. Just remember all your secret fan-stalkers.

But...see....

Yes, don't worry about slash as long as you like what you do. On the other hand, don't underrate what you're producing.

*grin* What I produce is mostly random LJ entries about nothing in particular.

As for the rest of it, I think I'd be hard put to underrate it. My writing ability, as with musical or dramatic ability, is all in my head - and far better for the rest of the world if it stays there.
